Abstract: This text aims to highlight some general characteristics of the relationship between education and cases of giftedness and high abilities. It underscores the importance of discussing this topic from an inclusion perspective. Many studies address the inclusion of students considered to have disabilities, often overlooking those who may face social adjustment difficulties due to their superior intellectual characteristics. Therefore, the foundation of this study is to identify the main features of giftedness and high abilities, emphasizing their treatment within the educational environment and the corresponding principles of inclusion. To achieve this, we consulted specific bibliographic sources that, in turn, guided the field research. Ultimately, the study revealed a lack of sufficient research on the inclusion of individuals with giftedness and high abilities, which is reflected in everyday inclusive school practices
