STREAMING E NARRATIVA COMPLEXA: UMA ANÁLISE DE A MALDIÇÃO DA RESIDÊNCIA HILL
A Cultura da Convergência é o contexto que gerou as novas mídias, fez dos indivíduos participantes, e desvinculou as ficções seriadas da sua mídia tradicional. Com novas produções sendo lançadas a todo momento, as opções são muitas. É necessário se manter competitivo e as ficções seriadas que utilizam da narrativa complexa, fazem bom proveito do streaming como plataforma que garante ao espectador o controle sobre o consumo, para promover a reassistência e desafiar o espectador a ter uma postura ativa e exercer o esforço cognitivo. Como suporte teórico-metodológico, partimos da noção de complexidade narrativa tal como define Mittel (2012), cultura da convergência conforme discute Jenkins (2019) e de streaming nos termos investigados por Seabra (2016). Como objeto empírico propomos analisar a série “A maldição da Residência Hill” com o objetivo de responder ao questionamento: De que maneira a plataforma de streaming pode colaborar na complexificação narrativa das ficções seriadas televisivas?

Abstract:
The Culture of Convergence is the context that spawned the new media, made it from the participating individuals, and untied the serial fictions from their traditional media. With new productions being released all the time the options are many. It is necessary to remain competitive and the serial fictions that use the complex narrative make good use of streaming as a platform that assures the viewer control over consumption, to promote resumption and challenge the viewer to take an active stance and exert cognitive effort. .As a theoretical and methodological support, we start from the notion of Complexity Narrative as defined by Mittel (2012), Culture of Convergence as discussed by Jenkins (2019) and Streaming in the terms investigated by Seabra (2016). As an empirical object we propose to analyze the series The Haunting of Hill Residency in order to answer the question: How can the streaming platform collaborate in the narrative complexification of serial TV fictions?
