Abstract: The State Center for Basic Education for Young People and Adults (Centro Estadual de Educação Básica para Jovens e Adultos), located in Curitiba, in the state of Paraná, is a public educational institution with a unique mission: to provide educational opportunities for people who were unable to complete their studies at the conventional age. This educational center plays a crucial role in society by opening the doors of education to a wide range of ages, welcoming students from the age of 15, without establishing a maximum age for entry. Flexibility is one of the hallmarks of this institution. Its classes usually have an average of approximately 30 students, providing a diverse learning environment where people of different ages and life experiences come together in search of a second chance at education. Students have the opportunity to resume their studies from where they left off, whether at the elementary or high school level. Completion of these studies is designed to occur in a period ranging from one and a half to two years, depending on the level of education chosen and the student's learning pace. During the ACEx, several significant activities were carried out. One of these involved the implementation of gamification, an educational approach that uses game elements to make learning more engaging. In the specific case of the center, a game called “Who am I” was conducted, which involved students in groups, challenging them to explore study topics in a fun and collaborative way. Collaboration also played a key role during the ACEx process. Spaces were created for the groups that participated in the action to discuss and raise the topics they would like to address. This collaborative approach helps to diversify perspectives and improve the quality of the education provided. In addition, students at Faculdades Pequeno Príncipe received guidance on how to write reports as part of the educational process. This skill is valuable not only in the academic context, but also in professional life, becoming an essential tool for effective communication and documentation of learning and experiences. In summary, the State Center for Basic Education for Young People and Adults in Curitiba, Paraná, plays a key role in providing educational opportunities for a wide range of students who wish to return to their studies. Its flexible approach, emphasizing student participation, gamification, flipped classroom, and collaboration, makes the learning process engaging and relevant. In addition, the institution is committed to continually improving its educational program, ensuring that it meets the needs of students and the community. The commitment to understanding reality and demand, as well as the practical application of knowledge, make this center a valuable place for the education of young people and adults in Curitiba.
