SOCIOLOGIA DA RELIGIÃO –
Como qualquer ciência, a Sociologia não é fruto do mero acaso, mas responde às necessidades dos homens de seu tempo. A reflexão filosófica a respeito da sociedade difere da Sociologia tanto nos resultados quanto, principalmente, na maneira de alcançá-los. Este artigo busca analisar a religião do ponto de vista sociológico, com uma reflexão sobre o impacto social da confessionalidade. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, de revisão narrativa, que possibilitou a construção de um artigo com análises amplas e interpretações. O mundo religioso é o reflexo do mundo real; a religião não desaparecerá como fruto de uma luta antirreligiosa, mas como resultado da transformação social. Em suma, a Sociologia da Religião busca explicar empiricamente as relações mútuas entre religião e sociedade, uma vez que seus estudos se fundamentam na dimensão social da religião e na dimensão confessional da sociedade.

Abstract:
Like any science, Sociology is not the result of mere chance, but responds to the needs of the men of its time. Philosophical reflection about society differs from Sociology both in the results and, mainly, in the way to achieve them. This article seeks to analyze religion from a sociological point of view, with a reflection on the social impact of confessionality. This is a qualitative research, of narrative review, which enabled the construction of an article with broad analysis and interpretations. The religious world is a reflection of the real world; religion will not disappear as the fruit of an antireligious struggle, but as the result of social transformation. In short, the Sociology of Religion seeks to explain empirically the mutual relations between religion and society, since its studies are based on the social dimension of religion and the confessional dimension of society.
