SOBERANIA E [I]LEGITIMIDADE DO PODER DESDE O PONTO DE VISTA DO PREÂMBULO À LEGISLAÇÃO DO ANTIGO ISRAEL
O presente texto tem a pretensão de demonstrar empiricamente o quanto uma leitura competente dos textos bíblicos pode prover, como resultado, reflexões oportunas para questões político-religiosas hodiernas. Estabelecendo um contraste com manipulações fundamentalistas, que buscam legitimar certos discursos autocráticos de poder político, por meio de leituras anacrônicas e hermeneuticamente equivocadas das narrativas bíblicas, propõe-se, aqui, uma abordagem metodologicamente ajustada, pela análise narrativa, à unidade temática subjacente ao preâmbulo da legislação do Antigo Israel. A investigação da configuração retórica do discurso do legislador-protagonista, enquanto agente do discurso narrativo que eflui do mundo narrado, ao evocar a sua reputação, em contraste com o comportamento opressivo do Faraó egípcio, como fundamento legitimador do exercício do seu poder como soberano de toda a terra, constitui-se como um paradigma de justiça, que pode muito bem promover reflexões aderentes a questões relativas ao exercício do poder político na atualidade. Em tempos em que um patrimônio tão rico para a humanidade, como é a Bíblia Hebraica, corre risco de ser subvertido pela ignorância deliberada, abordagens bíblicas, academicamente competentes devem surgir tanto como reflexão para o debate público quanto como resistência ao obscurantismo patrocinado por agentes ilegítimos de poder.

Abstract:
The present text intends to demonstrate empirically how a competent reading of biblical texts can provide, as a result, opportune reflections for today's political-religious issues. Establishing a contrast with fundamentalist manipulations, which seek to legitimize certain autocratic discourses of political power, through anachronistic and hermeneutically mistaken readings of biblical narratives, a methodologically adjusted approach is proposed here, through narrative analysis, to the thematic unit underlying the preamble of the legislation of Ancient Israel. The investigation of the rhetorical configuration of the discourse of the legislator-protagonist, as an agent of the narrative discourse that emanates from the narrated world, by evoking his reputation, in contrast to the oppressive behavior of the Egyptian Pharaoh, as a legitimizing basis for the exercise of his power as sovereign of the entire land, constitutes a paradigm of justice, which can very well promote reflections adherent to issues related to the exercise of political power today. At a time when such a rich heritage for humanity as the Hebrew Bible is at risk of being subverted by willful ignorance, academically competent biblical approaches must emerge both as reflection for public debate and as resistance to obscurantism sponsored by illegitimate agents of power.
