SITUAÇÃO AMBIENTAL DO IGARAPÉ FAVELINHA: UMA ANÁLISE SOBRE DESPEJO IRREGULAR DE RESÍDUOS NO MUNICIPIO DE CAPITÃO POÇO – PA.
Objetivou-se analisar a percepção ambiental de moradores do Bairro Vila Kenedy,
localizado na Zona Urbana do Município de Capitão Poço - PA, através da identificação de
problemas relacionados ao despejo irregular de lixo no igarapé que passa na comunidade, suas
consequências e a realizações de mutirões de limpeza do igarapé e proximidades, além da
identificação de locais corretos para os descartes de lixos, utilizando-se dos procedimentos de
pesquisa quantitativa e qualitativa visando realização de uma análise ambiental sobre o recurso
hídrico do Igarapé Favelinha, onde foi feito convite aos entrevistados e comunidade em geral
para auxiliar nos mutirões, tendo esse o objetivo de realizar limpezas no igarapé e arredores,
além de uma inspeção ao local estudado para fins de identificar possíveis dificuldades e
possíveis resoluções de suas problemáticas nas ações dos mutirões. Onde com base na tabulação
dos dados obtidos por meio da aplicação de questionário e entrevistas realizadas com a
comunidade local, pode-se concluir que os entrevistados possuem uma boa percepção
ambiental acerca dos resíduos que são descartados de forma irregular no igarapé ou em seu
entorno, e que muitos se comprometeram a realizar limpeza e fazer a coleta dos lixos
domésticos para que o órgão municipal responsável venha recolhê-los semanalmente. Logo a
percepção mostrada pelos entrevistados sobre a poluição do igarapé, demonstra a importância
em se estudar sobre Educação Ambiental, permitindo esse trabalho em grupo uma construção
e troca de saberes, além de ampliação da visão sobre o meio ambiente quanto futuros
profissionais. Por fim, infere-se que seja necessária mudança de postura tanto da população
quanto do poder público em relação à conservação e manutenção da qualidade ambiental não
somente do Igarapé estudado, como também outros que fazem parte do município.

Abstract:
The objective was to analyze the environmental perception of residents of Bairro
Vila Kenedy, located in the Urban Zone of the Municipality of Capitão Poço - PA, through the
identification of problems related to the irregular dumping of garbage in the stream that passes
through the community, its consequences and the achievements of task forces for cleaning the
stream and its surroundings, in addition to identifying the correct locations for waste disposal,
using quantitative and qualitative research procedures to carry out an environmental analysis of
the water resource of the Igarapé Favelinha, where the interviewees were invited and the
community in general to assist in the task forces, with the objective of cleaning the stream and
surroundings, in addition to an inspection of the studied site in order to identify possible
difficulties and possible resolutions of their problems in the activities of the task forces. Where
based on the tabulation of data obtained through the application of a questionnaire and
interviews conducted with the local community, it can be concluded that the interviewees have
a good environmental perception about the waste that is irregularly disposed of in the stream or
its surroundings, and that many have committed to cleaning and collecting household waste so
that the responsible municipal body can collect it weekly. Therefore, the perception shown by
the interviewees about the pollution of the stream, demonstrates the importance of studying
Environmental Education, allowing this group work to build and exchange knowledge, in
addition to broadening the vision of the environment as far as future professionals are
concerned. Finally, it is inferred that it is necessary to change the attitude of both the population
and the government in relation to the conservation and maintenance of environmental quality
not only in the studied stream, but also in others that are part of the municipality. -
