SISTEMAS CERÂMICOS LIVRES DE METAL À BASE DE ZIRCÔNIA, POR SISTEMAS CAD/CAM: RELATO DE CASO CLÍNICO
As restaurações cerâmicas livres de metal vêm se destacando nos últimos tempos devido ao aumento na busca por um material biocompatível, que apresente propriedades físicas e mecânicas adequadas e que ainda satisfaça o paciente esteticamente. Entretanto, existem diferentes sistemas e materiais livres de metal disponíveis. Entre esses materiais, destacam-se as restaurações protéticas à base de zircônia, geradas por sistema CAD/CAM. O objetivo desse estudo é realizar uma revisão de literatura visando uma análise acerca das indicações, contraindicações, vantagens e desvantagens do uso das restaurações protéticas à base de zircônia com o objetivo de contribuir para seu correto uso pelo cirurgião-dentista. Com relação ao material e método, a coleta de dados foi realizada utilizando artigos científicos, livros e catálogos coletivos disponíveis nas bibliotecas, MEDLINE, Scielo e correios eletrônicos sobre o referido sistema, publicados entre os anos de 2005 à 2016. O relato de caso descrito foi realizado no Curso de Extensão de Metal Free da FO/UFRGS. Concluiu-se que as restaurações protéticas à base de zircônia, geradas por sistemas CAD/CAM, proporcionam excelente estética e alta resistência à fratura, sendo consideradas hoje uma ótima opção reabilitadora.

Abstract:
The metal free ceramic restorations have been standing out lately due to an increase on the search for a bio-compatible material that presents suitable physical and mechanical properties and also satisfies the patient aesthetically. However, there are different free metal systems and material available. Among these materials, prosthetic restorations based on zirconia generated by CAD/CAM systems stand out. The purpose of the present study is to review literature aiming an analysis about indications, contraindications, advantages and disadvantages of the prosthetic restorations based on zirconia use to contribute for its correct utilization by the dentist. The data was collected using scientific articles, books and collaborative catalogues available at libraries, MEDLINE, Scielo and e-mails about the referred system, published between the years of 2005 to 2016. The case report described was held at an Extension Course of metal free from Dental Science School/UFRGS. The conclusion was that the prosthetic restorations based on zirconia, generated by CAD/CAM systems, provide aesthetics design and high resistance to fracture, being considered an excellent rehabilitative option nowadays
