SISTEMA NIGHTINGALEANO DE ENSINO: ASPECTOS SOBRE A IDENTIDADE PROFISSIONAL DA ENFERMEIRA
Estudo histórico-social que reflete sobre os elementos constitutivos da identidade profissional da enfermeira idealizada por Florence Nightingale, pioneira da Enfermagem Moderna no mundo, em duas obras seminais de sua autoria, “Notes on Hospitals by Florence Nightingale” (1859) e “Notas sobre enfermagem” (1860). Em suas falas sobre as atribuições da enfermeira, pode-se perceber que a identidade profissional se constituiu na prática e aplicação dos princípios do cuidado, disciplina e administração no ambiente hospitalar. Esta reflexão tem como base o referencial teórico sobre identidade profissional que embasou o estudo.

Abstract:
Historical and social study that reflects on the constitutive elements of the professional identity of the nurse idealized by Florence Nightingale, pioneer of Modern Nursing in the world, in two seminal works written by herself, “Notes on Hospitals by Florence Nightingale” (1859) and “Notes on Nursing” (1860). In her statements about the attributes of a nurse, it can be seen that professional identity was constituted in the practice and application of the principles of care, discipline and administration in the hospital environment.
