Abstract: Kaolin waste from the Amazon Region (Brazil) was used as a starting material to obtain type F zeolite through low-temperature hydrothermal synthesis in an alkaline solution with KOH. The effects of K/Al ratios, temperature, and crystallization time on the crystalline products were investigated. The materials were characterized using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy. The results showed that the kaolin waste was successfully transformed into nano-sized F zeolite, exhibiting a high degree of crystallinity and rod-like morphology.
