Abstract: In December 2019, in the city of Wuhan, China, pneumonia of unknown cause was discovered. The vast majority of individuals had symptoms such as coughing, fatigue and pulmonary infiltrations. From this, several researches were carried out to find the agent causing these complications, as a result, a new coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, was identified. In addition to the complications mentioned, infection with this virus can significantly compromise the respiratory and cardiovascular system. Currently, the world is in the Post-COVID-19 era, with many individuals who contracted the virus cured, but had persistent symptoms, such as dizziness and attention deficit, tiredness and cough. In this study we talk about a non-traditional method that has been extensively studied to significantly improve these persistent symptoms, the intake of nutraceuticals. Which are compounds with the ability to enhance the activity of the immune system and which have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory characteristics.
