“SÍFILIS”: UM ESTUDO SOBRE A INCIDÊNCIA DE SÍFILIS NO MUNICÍPIO DE PONTE NOVA/MG.
A sífilis é uma doença infecciosa, bacteriana, de evolução crónica, que quando não tratada, evolui para estágios de proporções variáveis, sendo capaz de atingir vários órgãos. Pode ser transmitida para o feto, ocasionando sérios danos à saúde, podendo produzir um natimorto ou ocorrer morte do neonato. Segundo o Boletim Epidemiológico de Sífilis (2018), nos últimos anos, foi observado no Brasil um crescimento constante, no número de casos de Sífilis adquirida, congênita e gestacional. Devido ao aumento do número de casos de sífilis no país, este trabalho teve como objetivo realizar uma revisão literária da patologia, coletar e analisar dados referentes à incidência da doença no município de Ponte Nova/MG. Esta pesquisa é de natureza descritiva e documental e para tal foi realizada revisão bibliográfica acerca da doença e análise de dados sobre a ocorrência da mesma, bem como da população do município, do período de 2008 à 2018. Neste estudo, foi possível verificar que, em Ponte Nova/MG, o número de casos de sífilis adquirida aumentou ao longo dos anos, apresentando, em 2018, coeficiente de incidência 3,2 vezes maior que o do ano anterior; sendo mais predominante na população masculina, e na faixa etária de 20 à 29 anos. Já em relação à sífilis congênita e gestacional, foi constatado que houve tendência decrescente da incidência no período de 2008 à 2018. Os resultados encontrados são importantes para se analisar a situação epidemiológica do município com relação à frequência e distribuição da doença, contribuindo para a elaboração de informações que incrementem o desenvolvimento de ações dos profissionais de saúde no âmbito dos programas de controle de DST.

Abstract:
Syphilis is a chronic bacterial infectious disease that, when left untreated, evolves to stages of varying proportions and can affect many organs. It can be transmitted to the fetus, causing serious damage to health, can produce stillbirth or death of the newborn. According to the Syphilis Epidemiological Bulletin (2018), in recent years there has been a steady increase in Brazil in the number of cases of acquired, congenital and gestational syphilis. Due to the increase in the number of syphilis cases in the country, this study aimed to perform a literature review of the pathology, collect and analyze data regarding the incidence of the disease in Ponte Nova / MG. This research is descriptive and documentary in nature. For this purpose, a literature review was performed about the disease and data were analyzed about its occurrence, as well as the population of the municipality, from 2008 to 2018. In this study, it was possible to verify that, in Ponte Nova / MG, the number of acquired syphilis cases increased over the years, presenting, in 2018, an incidence coefficient 3.2 times higher than the previous year; more prevalent in the male population, and in the age group of 20 to 29 years. Regarding congenital and gestational syphilis, it was found that there was a decreasing trend of incidence in the period from 2008 to 2018. The results are important to analyze the epidemiological situation of the municipality regarding the frequency and distribution of the disease, contributing to the elaboration information that increases the development of actions of health professionals within the scope of STD control programs.
