SÍFILIS PRIMÁRIA EM ADOLESCENTE DE RIBEIRÃO PRETO: UM RELATO DE CASO
A epidemiologia das infecções sexualmente transmissíveis (IST) tem se modificado ao longo dos anos, acometendo indivíduos em faixas etárias cada vez mais baixas. Dentro desse contexto, a sífilis ganha destaque pelo seu aumento entre os jovens. Os autores relatam um caso de sífilis primária em uma paciente de 15 anos, salientando o novo padrão epidemiológico da IST e as possíveis consequências se não tratada.

Abstract:
The epidemiology of sexually transmitted infections (STI) has changed through the years, more and more effecting younger patients. In this context syphilis has become a focal point due to the increase among the youth. Authors have described cases of primary syphilis in a 15-year-old patient, highlighting this new epidemiological pattern of this IST and its possible consequences if not treated.
