Abstract: Syphilis is an STI-sexually transmitted infection caused by sexually transmitted gram-negative Treponema pallidum, pregnant women carrying the disease can transmit it vertically to the fetus, syphilis is a cause of miscarriage and maternal and child morbidity and mortality, increase of its prevalence in the population indicates prenatal failure and poor quality of health; despite being a Compulsory Notification disease and its screening being present during prenatal care, in recent years according to Ministry of Health newsletters is increasing the cases of vertical transmission. Syphilis is a public health problem, it is important to analyze the factors that influence transmission, treatment failures and early detection in order to adopt new practices. [1]This study aimed to analyze the epidemiology of Syphilis in Pregnant Women and Congenital Syphilis through data from SINAN (Information System of Notifiable Diseases) and SINASC (Information System for Live Births) in the city of Marília-SP, 259 cases of syphilis in pregnancy and 300 cases of congenital syphilis in the period from 2007 to 2017. The diagnosis of syphilis in pregnant women occurred in 259 pregnant women, 78% increase from 2016 to 2017, 6 cases in 2007 and 82 cases. The annual Incidence Rate of Congenital Syphilis in the same period was 6.78 / 1000 live births, higher than the national rates.
