Conciliando o humanismo cristão aos interesses político de legitimação do capitalismo, articulado ao setor agrário, conservador e fundiário. Nesta direção, problematizo a presença do Serviço Social na experiência agrária desenvolvida em Goiás, voltado à modernização capitalista e a defesa da ordem pública no campo.

Abstract:
This communication deals with Social Work and Community Development. Reconciling Christian humanism with the political interests of legitimizing capitalism, articulated to the agrarian, conservative and land tenure sector. In this direction, I problematize the presence of Social Service in the agrarian experience developed in Goiás, aimed at capitalist modernization and the defense of public order in the countryside.
