SENTIDOS E HERANÇAS NA EDUCAÇÃO PATRIMONIAL
Esta pesquisa se relaciona à Educação Patrimonial voltada aos patrimônios Arqueológico e Paleontológico e consiste no relato de experiências extensionistas desenvolvidas no período de 2017 a 2019 no contexto das exposições do Laboratório de Arqueologia e Paleontologia (LAP) da Universidade do Estado da Bahia – Campus VII. O objetivo foi avaliar o potencial educativo das exposições do LAP, a partir das observações sobre os alunos do ensino básico de escolas públicas que visitaram as exposições. A metodologia utilizada foi a qualitativa, realizada por meio de observação participante, com auxílio do diário de campo. Observamos que durante as atividades extensionistas há grande aproveitamento de conhecimentos pelos discentes das escolas, especialmente quando as exposições estão organizadas de modo a permitir aos alunos o manuseio de fósseis e artefatos arqueológicos; que o uso de analogias e a apresentação de filme durante a exposição é um evento envolvente, especialmente entre os alunos do ensino fundamental; que a existência de uma caverna realista, com uso de estímulos sonoros, visuais e olfativos, permitiram uma interação lúdico-educativa e bastante imersiva entre os discentes. Consideramos que tais ações repercutem positivamente na forma como os alunos se posicionarão futuramente diante do seu Patrimônio Paleontológico e Arqueológico.

Abstract:
This research is related to Heritage Education focused on Archaeological and Paleontological heritage and consists of the report of extension experiences developed in the period between 2017 and 2019 in the context of exhibitions at the Laboratory of Archeology and Paleontology of the State University of Bahia - Campus VII. The objective was to evaluate the educational potential of the LAP exhibitions, based on observations on public school elementary students who visited the exhibitions. The methodology used was qualitative, carried out through participant observation, with the aid of a field diary. We observed that during extension activities there is great use of knowledge by students in schools, especially when the exhibitions are organized in such a way as to allow students to handle fossils and archaeological artifacts; that the use of analogies and the presentation of film during the exhibition is an engaging event, especially among elementary school students; that the existence of a realistic cave, with the use of sound, visual and olfactory stimuli, allowed for a playful-educational and very immersive interaction between students. We believe that such actions have a positive impact on the way students will position themselves in the future regarding their Paleontological and Archaeological Heritage.
