SENSIBILIZAÇÃO AMBIENTAL: UMA TENTATIVA DA REDUÇÃO DE RESÍDUOS ATRAVÉS DA RECICLAGEM DE ÓLEO DE COZINHA NO MUNICÍPIO DE SÃO JOÃO DEL REI - MG
Fatores como o crescente
consumo da população mundial, o acelerado
crescimento urbano, o uso inadequado dos
recursos naturais e a grande quantidade de
lixo produzido, entre outros, estão relacionados
a sustentabilidade e, portanto a preservação
de gerações futuras. Dessa maneira, a
discussão sobre sustentabilidade e negócios
sustentáveis, bem como sobre a necessidade
imprescindível de sensibilizar a população
através de educação ambiental a alterar o modo
de vida em relação a sua forma de consumo,
descarte, uso e reaproveitamento de recursos
tornou-se crescente e relevante. Sendo assim,
destacamos como um dos elementos principais
do nosso estudo, o descarte do óleo de cozinha
pós consumo, considerado um dos resíduos
mais descartados de maneira incorreta.
Sendo assim, o objetivo do presente estudo
foi identificar as formas de descarte do óleo
pela população, e sua propensão a praticar
e participar de atos sustentáveis promovidos
pelo projeto “Sustentabilidade em ação” no ano
de 2017. O estudo foi caracterizado como do
tipo exploratório e descritivo. Além disso, foi
realizada uma pesquisa de campo aplicada a
uma amostra de 444 pessoas na cidade de São
João Del Rei. A pesquisa é de natureza qualiquanti,
onde para o levantamento foi realizado
o cálculo do tamanho da amostra pelo software
Minitab, que resultou em 402 elementos.
Após análise dos resultados obtidos, pode-se
constatar a necessidade da continuidade de
ações de cunho sustentável através do projeto
“Sustentabilidade em ação”, no qual a população
mostra um interesse maior em participar.

Abstract:
Factors such as the increasing consumption of the world population,
accelerated urban growth, the inadequate use of natural resources and the large
amount of garbage produced, among others, are related to sustainability and, therefore,
the preservation of future generations. Thus, the discussion on sustainability and
sustainable business, as well as on the essential need to raise awareness among the
population through environmental education to change the way of life in relation to their
way of consumption, disposal, use and reuse of resources has become increasing
and relevant. Therefore, we highlight as one of the main elements of our study, the
discarding of cooking oil after consumption, considered one of the most discarded
waste incorrectly. Therefore, the objective of the present study was to identify the forms
of discarding the oil by the population, and their propensity to practice and participate
in sustainable actions promoted by the project "Sustainability in action" in the year
2017. The study was characterized as exploratory type and descriptive. In addition,
a field survey was applied to a sample of 444 people in the city of São João Del
Rei. The research is qualitative-quantitative, where the sample size calculation was
performed by Minitab software, which resulted in 402 elements. After analyzing the
results obtained, one can see the need for the continuity of sustainable actions through
the project "Sustainability in action", in which the population shows a greater interest
in participating.
