SEMENTÁRIO E EXTENSÃO UNIVERSITÁRIA, QUAL A RELAÇÃO?
Esse texto consiste em um relato de experiência sobre atividades do projeto de extensão “GETEC - Grupo de Estudos e Trabalhos em Ensino de Ciências” – do Departamento de Ecologia, Zoologia e Genética do Instituto de Biologia/UFPel, em eventos realizados no município de Pelotas com uma das ações do projeto - o Sementário, e o compartilhamento de saberes com a sociedade sobre aspectos agronômicos, ecológicos, culturais e nutricionais das sementes. As atividades foram desenvolvidas por docentes do DEZG/IB e discentes dos cursos de Agronomia, Ciências Biológicas, Nutrição e Medicina Veterinária, incluindo em suas diversas ações a comunidade em geral e escolar (públicas e particulares), com diferentes faixas etárias e conhecimentos prévios, de zona urbana e rural. A metodologia escolhida para a oficina e as mostras foi a expositiva dialogada e a utilização da coleção de sementes, além de banners. Considerando a participação nos eventos, o número total do público foi de aproximadamente 500 pessoas, com diferentes faixas etárias, da comunidade escolar e em geral, e pode-se perceber que a troca de saberes e o aprimoramento do estudo que envolve todo o contexto deste projeto, desde a coleta das sementes até as apresentações no viés da extensão universitária tem permitido aliar a teoria com a prática, instigando os alunos a obter conhecimento que será levado para o restante de sua trajetória.

Abstract:
This text consists of an experience report on the activities of the extension project "GETEC – Study and Work Group in Science Teaching" - Department of Ecology, Zoology and Genetics of the Institute of Biology/UFPel, in events held in the municipality of Pelotas with one of the actions of the project - Sementário, and the sharing of knowledge with the society on agronomic, ecological, cultural and nutritional aspects of seeds. The activities were carried out by DEZG/IB teachers, students of Agronomy, Biological Sciences, Nutrition and Veterinary Medicine courses, including in its various actions the community in general and school (public and private), with groups of different age and knowledge, of the urban and rural areas. The methodology chosen for the workshop and shows was the expositive dialogued and the use of the seed collection, in addition to banners. Considering participation in the events, the total number of public was approximately five hundred people, with different age groups, from the community and in general, and and it can be seen that the exchange of knowledge that the exchange of knowledge and the improvement of the study that involves the entire context of this project, from the seed collection to presentations on university extension bias has allowed to ally the theory with practice, urging students to obtain knowledge that will be taken to the remainder of his trajectory.
