SEGURANÇA DO PACIENTE: ADESÃO À PRÁTICA DE HIGIENIZAÇÃO DAS MÃOS POR PROFISSIONAIS DE SAÚDE EM UNIDADE DE TERAPIA INTENSIVA
A segurança do paciente vem
sendo procurado e observado cada vez mais
pelas organizações e pelas unidades de
saúde. Procura-se na pesquisa respostas
para as questões de comportamento e
práticas dos profissionais, tendo como foco
principal as atitudes e conhecimento sobre a
segurança do paciente. Existem vários riscos
para saúde do paciente transmitidos pelas
mãos, então o cuidado com a higienização
das mãos foi considerado objeto de estudo.
Tendo como objetivo geral analisar as atitudes
dos profissionais de saúde relacionados à
segurança do paciente no que se refere à
prática de higienização das mãos em uma UTI;
e específicos avaliar a adesão dos profissionais
de saúde à prática de higienização das mãos;
observar a adesão aos cinco momentos
de higienização das mãos e identificar o
conhecimento dos profissionais de saúde em
relação à meta 5 do Programa Nacional de
Segurança do Paciente: Higienização das
Mãos. Foi realizada uma pesquisa de campo,
descritiva e com abordagem qualiquantitativa. O
estudo foi realizado em um hospital filantrópico
de médio porte, situado em um município do
planalto norte catarinense. A coleta de dados
foi realizada através da observação à prática
de higiene das mãos, seguida da aplicação do
Teste de Conhecimento sobre Higienização
das Mãos para profissionais de Saúde. Foram
observadas 200 oportunidades de higienização
das mãos, utilizando roteiro de observação da
Anvisa. Considerando a adesão à higiene das
mãos seja com a fricção antisséptica das mãos
com álcool ou lavagem com água e sabão, a
realização foi de 66,5% (133).

Abstract:
Patient safety has been
increasingly sought and observed by
organizations and health units. The research
seeks answers to the behavioral questions and
practices of the professionals, having as main
focus the attitudes and knowledge about patient
safety. There are several risks to the health of
the patient transmitted by the hands, so the care
with the hand hygiene was considered object of
study.Having as general objective To analyze
the attitudes of health professionals related to
patient safety regarding the practice of hand hygiene in an ICU; and specific measures To
evaluate the adherence of health professionals to the practice of hand hygiene; Observe
adherence to the five moments of hand hygiene and Identify the knowledge of health
professionals regarding goal 5 of the National Patient Safety Program: Hand Hygiene.
A field research was carried out, descriptive and with a qualitative approach. The study
was conducted in a medium-sized philanthropic hospital, located in a municipality of
the northern plateau of Santa Catarina. The data collection was performed through
observation to hand hygiene practice, followed by the application of the Knowledge
Test on Hand Hygiene for Health professionals. 200 hand hygiene opportunities were
observed, using an Anvisa observation script. Considering adherence to hand hygiene,
either with alcoholic hand rubbing or washing with soap and water, the performance
was 66.5% (133).
