SAÚDE MENTAL: AÇÕES DE CUIDADO DA ENFERMAGEM
compreender o
contexto histórico da enfermagem em saúde
mental, comparando os cuidados antes da
Reforma Psiquiátrica Brasileira com o modelo
psicossocial atual, a fim de se entender os
saberes específicos do enfermeiro em sua
atuação em saúde mental. Método: estudo
descritivo por Revisão Bibliográfica. Na coleta
de dados foram utilizados livros, dissertações
e leis que abordassem o tema. Selecionados
39 artigos publicados nos últimos 10 anos,
disponíveis na íntegra e em português na
SCIELO. Análise de dados realizada por meio
da leitura aprofundada do material e registro
de informações. Resultados: a enfermagem
se desenvolveu grandemente após a Reforma
Psiquiátrica, mas ainda existem desafios que o
enfermeiro necessita superar para que ocorra
a transição do modelo asilar para o modelo
psicossocial de atenção. Conclusão: quando o
enfermeiro supera os obstáculos para atuar em
saúde mental ganha reconhecimento e melhora
a qualidade de vida de seus pacientes.

Abstract:
to understand the
historical context of nursing in mental health,
comparing care before the Brazilian Psychiatric
Reform with the current psychosocial model, in
order to understand the specific knowledge of
nurses in their work in mental health. Method:
descriptive study by bibliographic review. In the
collection of data, books, dissertations and laws
were used to address the theme. Selected 39
articles published in the last 10 years, available
in full and in Portuguese at SCIELO. Data
analysis performed through in-depth reading
of the material and recording of information.
Results: nursing has developed greatly after the
psychiatric reform, but there are still challenges
that the nurse needs to overcome in order for
the transition from the asylum model to the psychosocial care model to occur. Conclusion: when nurses overcome obstacles to
work in mental health, they gain recognition and improve the quality of life of their
patients.
