SABERES TRADICIONAIS EM COMUNIDADES QUILOMBOLAS DO PAMPA: APRENDENDO COM A COMUNIDADE IBICUÍ DA ARMADA
O objetivo desta pesquisa é entender
de que forma os saberes tradicionais dialogam
com a relação ser humano - natureza na
Comunidade Quilombola Ibicuí da Armada, em
Santana do Livramento/RS. Na Agroecologia,
é fundamental conhecer e valorizar os saberes
tradicionais, entretanto, este tema precisa ser
mais bem estudado no contexto da fronteira Brasil
- Uruguai. Foram realizadas seis entrevistas
abertas sobre o tema com moradores locais.
Além das entrevistas, foi realizada uma breve
imersão na realidade. Alguns saberes vêm se
transformando, mas continuam pautados pela
proximidade com recursos naturais locais, como
acontece com a construção das casas e as
simpatias. Outros, entretanto, como os ofícios
de parteira de campanha e de benzedeira,
não estão sendo repassados para as novas
gerações. Esta comunidade tem um modo
de vida caraterizado pela proximidade com a
natureza, contexto onde é tecida ao longo do
tempo uma complexa rede de saberes

Abstract:
The aim of this research is to
understand in which ways traditional knowledge
dialogues in the relationship between human
beings and nature in the Quilombola Community
of Ibicuí da Armada, in the municipality of
Santana do Livramento, state of Rio Grande
do Sul, Brazil. In Agroecology, it is mandatory
to cognize and value traditional knowledge, but
this issue still needs to be further studied in the
context of the Brazilian-Uruguayan border. Six
open interviews were carried out about the topic
with local residents. Besides the interviews, a
brief immersion into the local reality was also
accomplished. Some knowledges are in way
of transformation, but they are still based upon
their proximity to local natural resources, as it
happens with house building and sympathies.
Others, nonetheless, are not being transmitted
to the new generations, such as the craft of
Meio Ambiente, Sustentabilidade e Agroecologia 3 Capítulo 14 126
midwifery and healer. This community has a way of life characterized by its proximity to
nature, the context under which a complex network of knowledge is woven throughout
time.
