SABERES E HISTÓRIAS DAS BENZEDEIRAS NO LITORAL DO RIO GRANDE DO SUL
O presente trabalho trata-se de
uma pesquisa com benzedeiras do município
de Capivari do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul,
Brasil. Objetivou-se verificar as origens dos
conhecimentos das benzedeiras do referido
município, bem como os métodos utilizados
para tal atividade. Utilizando do método
Snowball ou bola de neve, o qual a primeira
entrevistada indicou a segunda e essa a
terceira. Todas trabalham de modo gratuito e
têm memorizadas as rezas e as orientações
às pessoas que as procuram. São bastante
observadoras e sensitivas, percebendo os
problemas psicológicos ou familiares das
pessoas que as procuram.

Abstract:
The present work reports a
research project carried out with healers in the
municipality of Capivari do Sul, Rio Grande
do Sul, Brazil. The objective was to verify
where the healers’ knowledge comes from, as
well as investigate the methods employed in
such activity. The Snowball method was used
to compose the study sample. All women in
the study work for free and know prayers and
directions by heart. They are very observant and
have a special talent to perceive the problems
of the people who seek for their services.
