SABÃO CASEIRO: DO REAPROVEITAMENTO DO ÓLEO DE COZINHA À GEOMETRIA ESPACIAL
O presente artigo relata práticas desenvolvidas nas aulas de matemática com a turma de 9º ano da Escola Municipal de Ensino Fundamental Girassol, a partir do projeto oriundo da Secretaria Municipal de Educação de Catuípe - denominado “De ‘óleo’ no futuro” no ano 2019. As práticas tinham por propósito, promover a conscientização, a sustentabilidade e o descarte consciente do resíduo de óleo de cozinha, buscando reduzir a contaminação da água e do solo. Neste viés, durante as aulas de matemática, foi realizada a confecção do sabão caseiro, a fim de explorar conceitos a partir da investigação matemática de sólidos geométricos presentes nas barras de sabão, como instrumento de aprendizagem. Através de sólidos distintos, foi possível abordar conceitos matemáticos de geometria espacial entre outros. Percebeu-se a relevância de trabalhar projeto de forma interdisciplinar e contextualizada em sala de aula. A investigação matemática, partindo de indagações e a construção dos sólidos com os alunos, possibilitaram aulas mais dinâmicas, facilitando a compreensão, formalização e sistematização de conceitos pelos educandos. Aprender conceitos através da investigação por meio da confecção do sabão não apenas despertou a consciência sobre a preservação do meio ambiente, como mostrou que os conceitos matemáticos estão presentes no dia a dia.

Abstract:
This article aims at reporting practices developed in mathematics classes with the 9th grade class of the Municipal School of Elementary Education Girassol, based on the project originating from the Municipal Education Offide of Catuípe - named “An 'oil' in the future” in the year of 2019. The practices were intended to promote awareness, sustainability and the conscious disposal of cooking oil waste, seeking to reduce water and soil contamination. In this way, during the mathematics classes, homemade soap was made in order to explore concepts from the mathematical investigation of geometric solids present in the soap bars, as a learning tool. Through different solids, it was possible to approach mathematical concepts of spatial geometry, among others concepts. Was realized the relevance of working with the project in an interdisciplinary and contextualized way in the classroom. The mathematical investigation, starting from inquiries and the construction of solids with the students, enabled more dynamic classes, facilitating the understanding, formalization and systematization of concepts by the students. Learning concepts through investigation of how making soap not only raised awareness about the preservation of the environment, but also showed that mathematical concepts are present in everyday life.
