Abstract: Snoring and sleep apnea are common respiratory disorders associated with cardiovascular, metabolic, and cognitive impacts. This review analyzed recent studies on the pathophysiology, health effects, and therapeutic approaches to these conditions. Findings indicate that mandibular devices, surgical interventions, and complementary therapies can significantly reduce apnea symptoms. Additionally, factors such as obesity and sedentary lifestyles are strongly associated with the severity of the disease. Preventive strategies, including breastfeeding, also play an essential role in reducing the incidence of sleep apnea. Early diagnosis and appropriate treatment are crucial to minimizing the negative effects of this condition and improving patients' quality of life.
