RIESGOS Y VULNERABILIDAD ANTE EL FENÓMENO DEL NIÑO COSTERO 2017: CASO DISTRITO LURIGANCHO – CHOSICA – LIMA, PERÚ
El Fenómeno El Niño es un evento recurrente a lo largo de las costas peruanas, y se manifiesta a través de los cambios que ocurren en las capas superficiales y subsuperficiales del océano, alterando las condiciones oceánicas y atmosféricas, provocando lluvias con promedios muy por encima de lo normal en la costa del país o sequías intensas en el Sur. Por este motivo, es importante analizar la vulnerabilidad y riesgos ante este evento climático extremo en el departamento de Lima, al ser una ciudad que alberga a la mayor cantidad de habitantes del país. Para el año 2017 se produjo El Niño Costero, evento considerado anómalo, el cual afectó Lima, y provocó efectos negativos asociados a las dimensiones sociales, económicas y ambientales que sostienen la ciudad. La pregunta de investigación que nos planteamos fue: ¿En qué nivel de vulnerabilidad y riesgo se encuentra el distrito Lurigancho – Chosica (Lima, Perú), ante la presencia del Fenómeno El Niño? Para responder la interrogante se realizó una búsqueda de fuentes secundarias, teniendo como base su relación con la temática y la relevancia de los datos que brindaban. Posteriormente, se filtró dicha información y se procedió a realizar el análisis correspondiente. De este análisis, se obtuvo como resultado que el nivel de vulnerabilidad y riesgo del distrito de Lurigancho - Chosica (Lima, Perú) varía con respecto al espacio territorial (asentamiento en diferentes quebradas), ya que ciertas áreas se clasificaron dentro del nivel muy alto, mientras que otras fueron consideradas con un nivel bajo de vulnerabilidad. Además, las zonas con mayores deficiencias sociales y económicas son las más propensas a sufrir daños mayores.

Abstract:
The Child Phenomenon is a constant event along the Peruvian coasts and is manifested through the changes that occur in the surface and subsurface layers of the ocean, altering the oceanic and atmospheric conditions, causing rainfall with averages above normal on the coast of the country or intense droughts in the South. For this reason, it is important to analyze the vulnerability and risks to this extreme weather event in Lima, as it is a city with the largest number of inhabitants in the country. For the year 2017, The Coastal Child occurred, an event considered anomalous, which affected Lima, and caused negative effects associated to the social, economic and environmental aspects. The research question was: what is the level of vulnerability and risk in the Lurigancho - Chosica district (Lima, Peru) with the presence of the Child Phenomenon? To answer the question, a search of secondary sources was carried out, based on their relationship with the theme and the relevance of the data they provided. Subsequently, this information was filtered, and the corresponding analysis was carried out. From this analysis, it was obtained as a result that the level of vulnerability and risk of the district of Lurigancho - Chosica (Lima, Peru) varies respect to the territorial space (settlement in different streams), since certain areas were classified within the very high level, while others were considered to have a low level of vulnerability. In addition, the areas with the greatest social and economic deficiencies are the most likely to suffer the greatest damage.
