REVISITANDO OS LUGARES DA MEMÓRIA, DA HISTÓRIA, DO ESQUECIMENTO: RICOUER, UM CLÁSSICO DA HISTORIOGRAFIA CONTEMPORÂNEA
Este trabalho procurará revisitar
os lugares da memória, da história e do
esquecimento, tais como abordados no clássico
livro de Paul Ricouer, cujo título da obra remonta
a estas três partes, ou como ele mesmo
denominou, três mastros do mesmo veleiro:
a memória, a história, o esquecimento. Fazer
uma análise, ainda que breve, do livro, com
ênfase nestas três questões epistemológicas,
bem delimitadas pelo tema e pelo método,
será o ponto central destas próximas linhas. A
primeira parte o livro, enfoca a memória e os
fenômenos mnemônicos, com todas as suas
nuances. A segunda, dedicada à história e o
conhecimento histórico, e também pensada
do ponto de vista da questão da narrativa e da
relação com a retórica. A terceira, culmina numa
reflexão sobre o esquecimento, que enquadrase
numa hermenêutica da condição histórica
dos seres humanos que somos.

Abstract:
This work will seek to revisit the
places of memory, history, and forgetfulness,
as addressed in Paul Ricouer's classic book,
whose title goes back to these three parts, or as
he called it, three masts of the same sailboat:
memory, the story, the forgetfulness. A brief
analysis of the book, with an emphasis on these
three epistemological questions, well defined
by theme and method, will be the focus of these
next lines. The first part of the book focuses on
memory and mnemonic phenomena, with all
their nuances. The second, dedicated to history
and historical knowledge, and also thought from
the point of view of the question of narrative
and the relationship with rhetoric. The third
culminates in a reflection on forgetting, which
fits into a hermeneutic of the historical condition
of the human beings we are.
