Abstract: This article is based on the results of two studies, the first, on course evaluation, and the second, on the factors that influence the development of better training in an initial teacher education HEI. infrastructure, as well as the poor quality of existing ones and also the fragility of curricula. With the study developed, it is intended to capture in the opinion of teachers and students what are the factors that determine the quality of teaching in the institution and in the development of better training in teacher training courses. The studies followed a methodology of quantitative orientation, descriptive and documentary analysis focused on the criteria and dimensions of internal and external evaluation followed by INAAREES, responsible for this process in Angola. The collection of data through applied questionnaires allowed an extensive collection of data from the participants involved, teachers and students on their relationship with the institution, namely, compatibility of their teaching schedule with other teaching activities, collaborative work, career progression, pedagogical practices, course they teach, the available resources, the training, the dynamics derived. The results of the studies indicate: a negative positioning of the students in relation to the infrastructures and working conditions, as well as the poor quality of the existing one; dissatisfaction with the inadequacy between the tasks required in the course and the time established for its accomplishment, dissatisfaction with the available resources and the quality of services provided by the different organs of the HEI. As for the canteen, the variety and quality of the products and services provided by the reprography are considered negative. The analysis of the documents showed the intention of the state to ensure the quality of education and the development of a plan for the improvement of public, public, private and private HEIs.
