Este trabalho visa abordar,

conhecimentos relacionados ao tratamento das

fraturas do osso zigomático e do seio frontal,

tendo como principal referência, um caso

clínico de restabelecimento estético e funcional,

cujo foco é esclarecer a importância de um

correto diagnóstico e planejamento cirúrgico.

O zigoma pode ser fraturado em uma de suas

quatro articulações ou em porções, tendo como

etiologia, os acidentes automobilísticos, quedas

e a prática desportiva. Os traumas na região de

complexo zigomático variam de baixa a alta

energia. O osso frontal é composto na maioria

dos pacientes, por uma tábua externa e outra

interna, protegendo as estruturas intracranianas.

O tratamento da tábua externa é indicado como

resolução estética, e a tábua interna deve ser

abordada visando evitar possíveis sequelas

neurológicas. É sabido, pela literatura, que

sequelas de fraturas tratadas em serviços

hospitalares requerem um planejamento distinto

dentro dos primeiros dias após o trauma.

Abstract:
This work aims to address

knowledge related to the treatment of zygomatic

bone and frontal sinus fractures, having as

main reference, a clinical case of esthetic and

functional restoration, whose focus is to clarify

the importance of a correct diagnosis and surgical

planning. The zygoma can be fractured from

its four joints or in portions, having as etiology,

automobile accidents, falls and sports practice.

Traumas in the zygomatic region vary from low,

medium and high energy. The frontal bone is

composed in the majority of the patients, in an

external table and another internal, protecting intracranial structures. The treatment of

the external board is indicated as aesthetic resolution, and the second, as a treatment

to avoid neurological sequel. It is known in the literature that sequel of fractures, treated

in hospital services, require a different planning of the first days after trauma.
