Abstract: Time-domain nuclear magnetic resonance, also known as relaxometry, is a non- destructive and rapid spectroscopic technique for obtaining relevant information from static or dynamic systems, such as those represented by various chemical reactions. The parameters obtained by this technique, particularly the longitudinal relaxation times (T 1 ) and transverse relaxation time (T 2 ), correlate with various morphological and physicochemical characteristics of samples, including crystallinity, the presence and state of liquid phases in porous matrices, and the extent of chemical reactions, among others. These capabilities make relaxometry an excellent probe for investigating a wide range of systems, both in the industry and in research laboratory environments. This work provides an overview of the physical principles of the technique, introduces a new pulse sequence developed by the authors, and explores its applications in various static and dynamic systems.
