Abstract: Since History is a science that seeks to study human beings over time through critical analysis of sources or documents, that is, traces left by individuals, which allow the historian to learn about the past, and Archaeology is a science that studies the interactions between individuals and their materiality, this essay seeks to present material culture as a historical document, exposing the methodological processes involved in analyzing material culture, starting from three examples, which at first glance would not be so relatable: clothing, ceramic vessels and lithic points (an artifact that has a sharp tip for penetrating targets, present in different artifacts such as spears and arrows). And finally, how these artifacts drive individual or collective memory and help us understand the culture of certain peoples, based on what they created and consumed, whether from the past or the present.
