REPRESENTAÇÕES SOCIAIS DE PROFISSIONAIS DE ENFERMAGEM SOBRE PACIENTE EM VENTILAÇÃO MECÂNICA
Objetivo: identificar as representações sociais dos profissionais de enfermagem sobre o paciente em ventilação mecânica. Método: pesquisa qualitativa. Realizou-se entrevista com 31 profissionais de enfermagem atuantes em unidades de terapia intensiva. A análise dos dados se deu à luz da abordagem das representações sociais. O corpus textual formado a partir das transcrições das entrevistas foi analisado pelo software Iramuteq no método de Reinert gerando um dendograma com 5 classes. Resultados: as representações sociais dos profissionais de enfermagem sobre o paciente em prótese ventilatória estruturam-se em dois campos representacionais, a saber: Relação de dependência prótese-paciente-profissional e, o cuidado essencial para o alívio do desconforto ocasionado pela prótese. Conclusão: a partir da análise das classes podemos inferir que os profissionais entendem a prótese ventilatória como extensão do corpo do paciente e essa percepção direciona as ações de enfermagem.

Abstract:
Objective: To identify the social representations of nursing professionals about the patient on mechanical ventilation. Method: qualitative research. An interview was conducted with 31 nursing professionals working in intensive care units. Data analysis was based on the approach of social representations. The textual corpus formed from the interview transcripts was analyzed by the Iramuteq software using the Reinert method generating a 5-class dendogram. Results: the social representations of nursing professionals about the patient in ventilatory prosthesis are structured in two representational fields, namely: Relation of prosthesis-patient-professional dependence and the essential care to relieve the discomfort caused by the prosthesis. Conclusion: from the analysis of the classes we can infer that the professionals understand the ventilatory prosthesis as an extension of the patient's body and this perception directs the nursing actions.
