O presente trabalho tem por

intencionalidade apresentar uma análise do

capitulo “Abolição e República” dos livros

didáticos de História, Sociedade e Cidadania

do 8º ano do Ensino Fundamental, de Alfredo

Boulos Junior, edições de 2003 e 2012,

procurando analisar se os mesmos cumprem

as determinações das Diretrizes Curriculares

Nacionais para a Educação das Relações

Étnico-Raciais e para o Ensino de História e

Cultura Afro-Brasileira e Africana. Sendo então

o livro didático público um instrumento utilizado

constantemente no cotidiano de sala de aula,

procura-se, neste estudo, verificar quais

modificações ocorreram nos livros didáticos ao

longo dos anos e de que modo o negro era, e

está representado atualmente no capítulo do

livro, analisando textos, imagens e atividades

que contemplem a representação dos povos

africanos na história do Brasil.

Abstract:
The present study intends to

present an analysis of the chapter “Abolition

and Republic” from the textbooks of History,

Society and Citizenship regarding the 8th year

of Elementary School, by Alfredo Boulos Junior,

editions of 2003 and 2012, seeking to analyze

if they fulfill the determinations of the National

Curricular Guidelines for the Ethnic-Racial

Relations Education and for the Afro-Brazilian

and African History and Culture Teaching.

Since the public textbook is an instrument used

constantly in the classroom, in this study it is

sought to verify which modifications have occurred in the textbooks over the years and

in what way the black was, and is currently represented in the chapter of the book,

analyzing texts, images and activities that contemplate the representation of African

peoples in the history of Brazil.
