REPRESENTAÇÃO DE GÊNERO NAS PERSONAGENS CLEDIR E ÉRICA EM O MATADOR, DE PATRÍCIA MELO
Este trabalho discutirá as
abordagens sobre gênero e como estas
questões estão presentes na obra O Matador
(2002), da escritora contemporânea Patrícia
Melo. Trata-se de um romance policial que é
narrado em primeira pessoa por Máiquel, uma
espécie de anti-herói, morador do subúrbio na
cidade de São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo.
Em O Matador, de Patrícia Melo abordaremos
principalmente a representação de gênero a
partir das personagens Cledir e Érica mostrando
os estereótipos femininos presente nestas.
Este estudo apoia-se nos proposto teórico de
Adichie (2015), Beauvoir (2016), Butler (2010),
Foucault (1987), Hall (2002), Lauretis (1994),
Scott (1995) entre outros. A metodologia
utilizada para a realização desta pesquisa será
de natureza básica com abordagem qualitativa
e análise descritiva dos dados. A pesquisa
bibliográfica será realizada tendo como
referencial a obra O Matador de Patrícia Melo.
Conclui-se que Érica na obra O matador, de
fato deixa de ser o Outro e passa a ser o sujeito,
obtendo desta maneira voz e vez. No entanto,
Cledir permanece como tendo o estereótipo de
mulher submissa, pois tudo suporta, no entanto
ao final tenta confrontar o marido verbalmente,
mas acaba sendo assassinada por ele

Abstract:
This article will discuss the
approaches on gender and how these issues
are presented in O Matador (2002), a novel
by the contemporary writer Patricia Melo. It is
a police novel narrated in the first person by
Máiquel, a kind of anti-hero, who lives in the
suburbs of São Bernardo do Campo, in São
Paulo. In O Matador, by Patricia Melo, we will
mainly address representation of gender from
the characters Cledir and Érica, showing their
female stereotypes. This study is supported
by Adichie (2016), Beauvoir (2009), Butler
(2010), Foucault (1987), Hall (2002), Lauretis
(1994), Scott (1995), among other authors.
The methodology used to carry out this
research will be of a basic nature with qualitative
approach and descriptive analysis of the data.
The bibliographical research will be carried out
with reference to the work O Matador by Patricia
Melo. It is concluded that Erica in the work The
matador, in fact ceases to be the Other and
happens to be the subject, obtaining in thisway voice and time. However, Cledir remains as having the stereotype of submissive
woman, because everything supports, nevertheless in the end tries to confront the
husband verbally, but ends up being assassinated by him.
