REPERCUSSÕES DO TRABALHO NA SAÚDE MENTAL DE USUÁRIOS DE UM SERVIÇO ESPECIALIZADO
INTRODUÇÃO: Há uma
multiplicidade de fatores de risco de diversas
origens e naturezas relacionadas à saúde dos
trabalhadores. Além disso, é possível associar
as mudanças causadas pelas inovações
tecnológicas e por novas formas de gestão nos
serviços, com o bem-estar dos trabalhadores.
OBJETIVO: Analisar e discutir as repercussões
do trabalho na saúde mental dos usuários em
acompanhamento psiquiátrico em um serviço
especializado. METODOLOGIA: Estudo
descritivo, com abordagem qualitativa,
realizado em um Serviço de Saúde Mental,
com trabalhadores em tratamento psíquico. A
fim de captar os dados, utilizou-se a entrevista
semiestruturada com questões relacionadas
à percepção dos participantes sobre seu
adoecimento e a relação com o trabalho. O
software IRAMUTEQ foi utilizado para analisar
os dados. RESULTADOS: As condições de
trabalho e a exposição às substâncias químicas
proporcionaram doenças mentais e físicas. O
trabalho repetitivo e as rotinas diárias agravaram
o estresse no trabalho, além disso, o acúmulo
de tarefas gerou sobrecarga mental. A violência
psicológica no trabalho inclui o assédio moral
e, quanto ao sentimento de insegurança, esse
adveio do aumento da competitividade, assim
como esteve relacionado ao aumento do
estresse. O esgotamento profissional configurase
pelo desgaste psicoemocional e queda da
produtividade. CONCLUSÕES: O trabalho foi
visto como um potencial causador de danos
diante do modo capitalista de organização,
fato que repercute na saúde física e mental
dos profissionais. Os resultados evidenciaram
os diversos fatores que contribuem para o
adoecimento mental, como exaustiva jornada
de trabalho, falta de apoio das empresas e
assédio moral aos trabalhadores.

Abstract:
CONTEXT: There is a multiplicity of risk factors of diverse origins
and nature related to workers’ health. In addition, it is possible to associate the
changes caused by technological innovations and new forms of management in the
services, with the well-being of the workers. OBJECTIVE: To analyze and discuss
the repercussions of work on the mental health of users under psychiatric care in a
specialized service. METHODOLOGY: A descriptive study, with a qualitative approach,
carried out in a Mental Health Service, with workers in psychic treatment. In order to
capture the data, the semi-structured interview was used with questions related to the
participants’ perception of their illness and their relationship with work. The IRAMUTEQ
software was used to analyze the data. RESULTS: Working conditions and exposure
to chemicals gave rise to mental and physical illness. The repetitive work and the
daily routines aggravated the stress in the work, in addition, the accumulation of tasks
generated mental overload. Psychological violence at work includes bullying and, in
terms of feelings of insecurity, this has resulted in increased competitiveness, as well
as increased stress. Occupational exhaustion is characterized by psychoemotional
impairment and productivity decline. CONCLUSIONS: The work was seen as a potential
cause of damages in the capitalist way of organization, a fact that affects the physical
and mental health of professionals. The results showed the various factors contributing
to mental illness, such as exhaustive working hours, lack of support from companies
and harassment of workers.
