Abstract: ABSTRACT Purpose: to investigate the impact of mobile devices on complaints of neck pain among children and adolescents, considering changes in lifestyle habits. Methods: This is an integrative review of databases such as PubMed, BVS, Ebosco, and CAPES using the PRISMA guidelines. Original articles on the use of mobile devices in children and adolescents from the last five years, in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, were included. Studies with an adult age group or systematic reviews were excluded. Literature Review: Of the 19 articles selected, 5 met the inclusion criteria. The studies indicated that excessive use of mobile devices is related to musculoskeletal pain, mainly in the neck and lower back, in addition to visual problems such as eye strain. The studies highlight that the COVID-19 pandemic increased the use of mobile devices due to social isolation and, as a consequence, increased sedentary behavior. Finally, the studies suggest strategies to minimize the reported effects, such as regular breaks and physical exercise. Conclusion: Prolonged use of mobile devices in children and adolescents may be associated with neck pain, suggesting an impact on vision and other musculoskeletal aspects, which may have a negative impact on quality of life.
