RELATÓRIO DE UMA EXPERIÊNCIA DE TRABALHO DE CAMPO NA UNIVERSIDADE ESTADUAL DE CAMPINAS (UNICAMP) - CAMPUS BARÃO GERALDO

Este artigo é, mais uma vez, uma ocasião excepcional para relatar minha experiência no âmbito de um trabalho de campo, cujo objetivo era, primeiro, ir observar a convivência e a rotina acadêmica dos/as estudantes estrangeiros/as, no campus da Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP) em Barão Geraldo, segundo, encontrá-los e entrevistá-los sobre sua experiência acadêmica internacional. Em notas introdutórias, serão explicitadas as razões de uma tal pesquisa de campo. Tratar-se-á, em segundo lugar, de descrever e explicar as principais estratégias metodológicas empregadas para coletar os dados. Em terceiro lugar, será proposta uma discussão conceitual e teórica entre migração e mobilidade; estudantes estrangeiros e estudantes internacionais. Por fim, o quarto e último assunto que o leitor encontrará neste relatório é uma reflexão analítica de alguns resultados parciais. Estes ressaltam provisoriamente que, no âmbito da mobilidade estudantil, a questão do visto é diversa, os programas acadêmicos são distintos, o tipo, o momento e o estatuto do intercâmbio dependem do objetivo do/a aluno/a, a relação entre mobilidade e empregabilidade é problemática, enfim, apesar de algumas incertezas, os jovens estudantes estrangeiros entrevistados/as formulam suas ambições futuras em relação ao que sua experiência internacional poderia trazer para seu próprio futuro e para o do seu país.

  • Abstract: This article is, once again, an exceptional opportunity to report my experience as part of fieldwork, the objective of which was, firstly, to observe the coexistence and academic routine of foreign students on the campus of the State University from Campinas (UNICAMP) in Barão Geraldo, second, to meet and interview them about their international academic experience. In introductory notes, the reasons for such field research will be explained. Secondly, it will be about describing and explaining the main methodological strategies used to collect the data.
