Abstract: This paper presents an experience report developed within the Pedagogical Residency Program (PRP), aimed at the initiation into teaching Portuguese Language during the undergraduate course in Letters at the State University of Amazonas, Tabatinga Higher Education Center. The activities involved immersion in the school field, preparation and correction of exercises, as well as the application of transversal themes in the classroom, such as traffic, environment, and health, under the supervision of the preceptor teacher. In addition, meetings, studies, and parallel training events were carried out, coordinated by the program advisor together with other residents. The experiences provided reflections on teaching practice, contributing to academic and professional development by integrating theory and practice in a continuous process of learning and construction of pedagogical knowledge.
