Abstract: The glossary is a valuable tool in the teaching and learning process, as it plays a key role in understanding and retaining information. Therefore, the glossary plays an essential role in the discipline of Paleontology, providing an effective teaching methodology that facilitates the understanding of the fundamental terms and concepts of this scientific area. Based on this, the present work aims to report the experience of six students who built a glossary during the course of Paleontology, of the Biological Sciences course at the State University of Piauí - Campus Heróis do Jenipapo, located in the municipality of Campo Major-PI. ICT's were the main resource used by the majority, and, throughout the course of the reading, it will be possible to observe how the development proceeded and the difficulties that each one had in the construction of their materials.
