Abstract: Our society underwent several disruptions during the COVID-19 pandemic, the educational area being one of them. Different actions were adopted so that education keept on, even in a non-traditional context. Hence, this article seeks to revisit teaching experiences in subjects of Modern Foreign Language - English and Professional Communication, as well as Computerized Applications. These experiences occurred in an asynchronous mode during the COVID-19 pandemic. Moreover, we aim to explore how these practices were reintroduced when shifting back to in-person teaching for a 2nd-year class in integrated secondary technical education (ETIM) at Etec Trajano Camargo, in Limeira, in 2022. As a methodology, exploratory bibliographic research related to digital information and communication technologies (TDICs) and we conducted a qualitative comparative analysis of the teaching-learning process in both asynchronous and face-to-face teaching. The idea is to answer the principal question: how to use TDIC tools in face-to-face teaching, post-COVID-19 pandemic, in a way that makes it possible to achieve meaningful learning? To achieve this objective, we actively considered how TDICs have become and remain integrated into daily classes and how their utilization has benefited the teaching process. The results revealed that employing TDICs proved more effective in face-to-face instruction than in remote teaching, which was attributed to the teacher's physical presence and focused guidance during in-class TDIC usage, affirming the potential to redefine previously employed didactic-pedagogical approaches to enhance the meaningfulness of learning.
