RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA NA MONITORIA DA DISCIPLINA DE GENÉTICA E BIOLOGIA MOLECULAR: APRENDIZADO DA TEORIA À PRÁTICA
Sabe-se que a atividade de monitoria está entre as modalidades de ações extracurriculares que mais proporcionam a cooperação acadêmica entre discentes e docentes, oferecendo uma oportunidade para o estudante ampliar suas competências, podendo representar o primeiro passo para o seu interesse pela área da docência. Nesse sentido, partindo de uma experiência na monitoria da Disciplina de Genética e Biologia Molecular, oferecida pelo Instituto de Ciências Biológicas e da Saúde (ICBS) da Universidade Federal de Alagoas (UFAL) aos alunos do Curso de Ciências Farmacêuticas da UFAL, apresentamos um relato de atividade integrativa que foi desenvolvida ao longo do semestre letivo de 2018.2, por meio da qual foram utilizadas ferramentas tecnológicas, como redes sociais e vídeos didáticos. Dessa prática, constatou-se que o interesse dos estudantes em resolver os exercícios propostos aumentou com o uso das redes sociais e que a compreensão dos conteúdos ministrados foi maximizada pela utilização de vídeos de boa qualidade científica. O presente trabalho visa contribuir com o aperfeiçoamento do Programa de Monitoria oferecido pela Universidade, buscando subsidiar a reflexão sobre os efeitos positivos das inovações nas práticas de ensino, amparadas nas atividades de monitoria.

Abstract:
It is known that the monitoring activity is among the types of extracurricular actions that most provide academic cooperation between students and teachers, offering an opportunity for the student to expand their skills, which may represent the first step towards their interest in the teaching area. In this sense, starting from an experience in monitoring the Discipline of Genetics and Molecular Biology, offered by the Institute of Biological and Health Sciences (ICBS) of the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL) to the students of the Pharmaceutical Sciences Course at UFAL, we present a report an integrative activity that was developed during the 2018.2 academic semester, through which technological tools were used, such as social networks and educational videos. From this practice, it was found that the interest of students in solving the proposed exercises increased with the use of social networks and that the understanding of the contents taught was maximized by the use of videos of good scientific quality. This work aims to contribute to the improvement of the Monitoring Program offered by the University, seeking to support the reflection on the positive effects of innovations in teaching practices, supported by monitoring activities.
