RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA DO PROJETO DE EXTENSÃO SOBRE PREVENÇÃO DO ZIKA VÍRUS COM GESTANTES DA UNIDADE BÁSICA DE SAÚDE SINHARINHA BORGES
Diante da identificação do Zika vírus (ZIKV) em 2015 no Nordeste brasileiro e das suas consequências sobre a saúde do feto humano, e considerando-se a relevância da educação popular para promoção da saúde, foram observadas demandas de Educação em Saúde para as gestantes. Este artigo relata a experiência acerca do projeto de extensão “Gestante sem onda de Zika: educação em saúde para não contar com a sorte”, realizado na Unidade Básica de Saúde (UBS) Sinharinha Borges. O projeto desenvolvido entre 2016 e 2017, adotou a Educação Popular em Saúde (EPS) como estratégia metodológica e concretizou-se a partir da interação entre grávidas, discentes, profissionais de saúde e docentes, favorecendo a (re)construção dos saberes acerca da infecção pelo Zika vírus mediante ações educativas com metodologias ativas estimulantes à participação dos envolvidos. Conclui-se que o projeto promoveu a reflexão e ação das gestantes quanto à infecção, reforçando-se a relevância da extensão em Educação Popular em Saúde (EPS), que parte dos limites e possibilidades da realidade vivenciada pelos participantes, rumo à construção de novos saberes.

Abstract:
The identification of the Zika virus in 2015, in Northeastern Brazil, and its consequences for the health of the human fetus, led to new demands of health education for pregnant women, which must be delivered considering the relevance of popular education for health promotion. This article reports the experience of an extension project called “Pregnant woman without Zika: health education so as not to count on luck”, carried out at the Sinharinha Borges Basic Health Unit. The project was developed between 2016 and 2017 and adopted popular education in health as a methodological strategy. The project allowed the interaction between pregnant women, students, health professionals, and teachers, favoring the (re)construction of knowledge about Zika virus infection through educational actions and active methodologies, stimulating the participation of those involved. It is concluded that the project promoted the reflection and action of pregnant women regarding the infection, reinforcing the relevance of extension projects in popular education in health, which starts from the limits and possibilities of the reality experienced by the participants towards the construction of new knowledges.
