RELATO DE CASO: TÉCNICA DE CIRURGIA RECONSTRUTIVA COM RETALHO DE PADRÃO AXIAL PRESERVANDO ARTÉRIA EPIGÁSTRICA CAUDAL SUPERFICIAL E SUAS VEIAS CUTÂNEAS DIRETAS.
Com o avanço de estudos e pesquisas é possível utilizar os recursos reconstrutivos como parte e resolução do tratamento de patogenias que vem acometendo os animais domésticos. As cirurgias reconstrutivas têm como objetivo manter a funcionalidade, anatomia e estética da região acometida para propiciar uma qualidade de vida ao animal. Neste trabalho foi relatado um cão resgatado com carcinoma de células escamosas, onde foi realizada a cirurgia reconstrutiva para exérese tumoral recobrindo o local com o retalho de padrão axial mantendo sua vascularização através a artéria epigástrica caudal superficial. A intervenção cirúrgica alcançou resultado satisfatório, deixando a estética e fisiologia dentro dos parâmetros para o bem-estar animal.

Abstract:
With the advancement of studies and research we are now capable of use the reconstructive resources as part and resolution of the treatment of pathogens that has been affecting domestic animals. The reconstructive surgeries aim to maintain the functionality, anatomy, and aesthetics of the affected region to provide a better quality of life to the animal. In this work, a rescued dog with squamous cell carcinoma was reported, where reconstructive surgery was performed for tumor excision, covering the site with the axial pattern flap maintaining its vascularization through the superficial caudal epigastric artery. The surgical intervention achieved a satisfactory result, leaving the aesthetics and physiology within the parameters for a well-being of the animal.
