Abstract: The article discusses the interrelationship between stress and inflammation, beginning by defining the concept of inflammation in the pathophysiological context as an organism's response to threats, triggering a series of sequential events to control tissue damage. The participation of various aggression-signaling molecules stands out, both derived from pathogens and from the tissue damage itself. The connection between stress and inflammation is discussed, highlighting how chronic stress can lead to systemic inflammation and suppression of immune responses, contributing to the development and worsening of pathological conditions such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and neuropsychiatric disorders. Understanding these mechanisms is fundamental to developing therapeutic and preventive strategies, such as stress management through meditation and physical activity, and recognizing the importance of an integrative approach to health promotion. The article emphasizes the need for a comprehensive perspective to address the impacts of stress on the immune and physiological systems and the pathological consequences associated with chronic inflammation.
