RELAÇÃO DA DISFUNÇÃO ERÉTIL COM O PROCESSO DO ENVELHECIMENTO
Disfunção Erétil (DE) é a não manutenção rígida da ereção, insuficiente para ocorrer o ato sexual. Decorre de etiologias psicogênicas, orgânicas e até secundárias ao uso de medicamentos ansiolíticos e antidepressivos. Compartilha fatores de risco comuns com doenças cardiovasculares, como sedentarismo, diabetes, hipertensão, obesidade, tabagismo,hipercolesterolemia e síndrome metabólica. Reduz-se o risco de DE modificando esses fatores de risco e adotando hábitos saudáveis para melhorar a qualidade de vida (QV), pois a função sexual também é fator de melhor QV. Objetivou-se identificar na revisão integrativa associações estabelecidas entre DE e processo do envelhecimento. O referencial teórico trouxe informações relacionadas à faixa etária mais acometida, associadas ao processo do envelhecimento, fisiopatologia, fatores de risco, tratamento e manejo da equipe com pacientes com DE. Após a coleta de dados, no primeiro semestre de 2018, restaram selecionados dois artigos ao serem utilizados os descritores “idoso” e “sexualidade”, assim como a palavra-chave “disfunção erétil” nas bases de dados SciELO, LILACS e BDENF. Os artigos incluídos, originais, trabalham a forma de pesquisa bibliográfica, abordam a temática “disfunção erétil no idoso”, foram publicados em português e com texto disponível on-line na íntegra. Ambos os estudos apresentavam desenho transversal, um de natureza quantitativa, e o outro, qualitativa. Compreendem a inter-relação entre DE e envelhecimento, sendo permeados por aspectos multidimensionais. Constatou-se quão necessário é realizar pesquisas que abordem este assunto, ainda incipientes na literatura científica brasileira, sendo fundamental o desenvolvimento e aprofundamento de estudos na temática em questão.

Abstract:
Erectile Dysfunction (ED) is the failure to maintain an erection rigidly, insufficient for the sexual intercourse to occur. It results from psychogenic, organic and even secondary etiologies to the use of anxiolytic and antidepressant drugs. It shares common risk factors with cardiovascular diseases, such as sedentariness, diabetes, hypertension, obesity, smoking, hypercholesterolemia and metabolic syndrome. The risk of ED is reduced by modifying these risk factors, adopting healthy habits to improve the quality of life (QL), because the sexual function is also a factor of better QL. The theoretical reference brought information related to the most affected age group, associated to the aging process, pathophysiology, risk factors, treatment and management of these patients with ED. The objective was to identify in the integrative review associations established between ED and the aging process. After data collection, in the first semester of 2018, two articles were selected using the descriptors "elderly" and "sexuality", as well as the keyword "erectile dysfunction" in the databases SciELO, LILACS and BDENF. These original articles included, focus in the form of bibliographic research, address the theme "erectile dysfunction in the elderly", were published in Portuguese and with full text available online. Both studies presented a transversal design, one showing a quantitative nature and the other a qualitative one. They include the interrelationship between ED and aging and are permeated by multidimensional aspects. It has been verified how necessary it is to carry out researches that approach this subject, still incipient in the Brazilian scientific literature, being fundamental the development and deepening of studies on the subject in question.
