REFLEXÕES SOBRE A TEORIA DA SOCIEDADE EM REDE DE CASTELLS E A TEORIA DA REDE DE AÇÃO COMUNICATIVA DE HABERMAS
Uma das principais características
da sociedade contemporânea encontra-se na
dimensão do universo da rede de redes e na
complexidade do poder e extensão de seu uso.
Nesse sentido, o presente estudo busca abordar
tão polêmico assunto e, para tal finalidade,
adotou como seu marco teórico condutor a teoria
da sociedade em rede, de Manuel Castells e a
teoria da rede de ação comunicativa de Jürgen
Habermas. Neste ensaio usou-se o método
dedutivo, a pesquisa de caráter qualitativo e
bibliográfico, e a análise de cunho descritivo
e explicativo. Enquanto, Castells avança nos
estudos em torno do Paradigma Tecnológico
da Informação, Habermas introduz importante
instrumento de análise, o denominado mundo
da vida, composto em três distintos mundos – a
cultura, a sociedade, a pessoa - destinados à
compreensão da rede de ação comunicativa.

Abstract:
One of the main characteristics
of contemporary society lies in the dimension
of the network´s universe and in the complexity
of the power and extension of its use. In this
sense, the present study seeks to address such
a controversial subject and, to this end, adopted
as its theoretical framework conductive Manuel
Castells ‘network society theory and Jürgen
Habermas’ theory of the communicative action
network. In this essay we used the deductive
method, the qualitative and bibliographic
research, and the descriptive and explanatory
analysis. While Castells advances studies
on the Information Technology Paradigm,
Habermas introduces an important instrument
of analysis, called “world of life”, composed of
three distinct worlds - culture, society and the
person intended for understanding the network
of communicative action.
