“REFLEXÕES E RELATOS DE EXPERIÊNCIAS DE EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL EM PROJETO DE EXTENSÃO: (RE) PENSAR A QUALIDADE SANITÁRIA NO COMÉRCIO DE CARNES DOS MERCADOS PÚBLICOS DE CAVALEIRO E DAS MANGUEIRAS, JABOATÃO DOS GUARARAPES/PE, 2015-2017”
Estudantes do curso técnico em
Qualidade do Instituto Federal de Educação,
Ciência e Tecnologia de Pernambuco (IFPE)
campus Jaboatão dos Guararapes, assim
como milhares de outros nesse país, vivem
em uma comunidade repleta de conflitos
socioambientais. Ao iniciar o curso, entram
em contato com disciplinas técnicas, tais
como “Introdução a Administração e Gestão
Ambiental”. Neste processo de ensinoaprendizagem, alguns deles começaram a
analisar criticamente o ambiente que os circunda
e trouxeram aos docentes suas inquietações.
O estudo da “Qualidade e Meio Ambiente” os
fez perceber que os mercados públicos e feiras
livres da cidade necessitam de intervenções
estruturais, técnicas e em educação. Partindo
deste contexto, este capítulo apresentará
as reflexões e relatos de experiências que
transformaram inquietações de estudantes em
projeto de extensão. A pesquisa-ação orientou
as ações deste trabalho que contribuiu para a
sensibilização dos comerciantes naquele local,
com o dimensionamento da problemática por
parte dos estudantes e do amadurecimento do
tripé ensino-pesquisa-extensão por parte dos
docentes.

Abstract:
Students of the technical course
on Quality of the Federal Institute of Education,
Science and Technology of Pernambuco (IFPE)
Campus Jaboatão dos Guararapes, as well
as thousands of others in that country, live in
a community full of social and environmental
conflicts. At the beginning of the course, they
come into contact with technical subjects, such
as “Introduction to Environmental Management
and Management”. In this process of teaching
and learning, some of them began to critically
analyze the environment that surrounds them
and brought to teachers their concerns. The
“Quality and Environment” study made them
realize that the city’s public markets and free
fairs require structural, technical and educational
interventions. From this context, this chapter
will present the reflections and reports of
experiences that have transformed students’
concerns into extension projects. The action
research oriented the actions of this work that
contributed to the awareness of the merchants
in that place, with the dimensioning of the problematic on the part of the students and
the maturation of the teaching-research-extension tripod by the teachers.
