REFLECTIONS ON SUFFERING AND ILLNESS FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE CAREGIVERS
O objetivo deste artigo é refletir sobre a complexidade do sofrimento na relação paciente e cuidador. Para isso foi realizada uma revisão sistemática com análise do banco de dados LILACS (Literatura Latino Americana e do Caribe em Ciências e Saúde), cujos critérios de inclusão foram artigos completos publicados de 2011 à 2021, em português, que contemplassem o sofrimento do cuidador. Os resultados apontaram 10 artigos que foram analisados, com base na análise de conteúdo, sistematizados e discutidos. As categorias evidenciadas foram: sofrimento, processo de cuidado e emoções. O sofrimento é evidente na perspectiva do paciente, somando-se a isso, é preciso reconhecer o sofrimento inerente aquele que é responsável pelo processo de cuidar: o cuida(dor). As emoções são diferentes e precisam compor o cenário de atendimento da equipe. Por fim, não se deve romantizar o cuidador, mas sim concretizá-lo, na forma de acolhimento e humanização.

Abstract:
The purpose of this article is to reflect on the complexity of suffering in the patient-caregiver relationship. For this, a systematic review was carried out with analysis of the LILACS database (Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Science and Health), including inclusion criteria were full articles published from 2016 to 2021, in Portuguese, that addressed the suffering of the caregiver. The results showed 10 articles that were propagated, based on content analysis, systematized and discussed. The categories highlighted were: suffering, care process and emotions. Suffering is evident from the patient's perspective, and in addition to this, it is necessary to recognize the inherent suffering of that which is responsible for the care process: care (pain). Emotions are different and need to be part of the team's service scenario. Finally, one should not romanticize the caregiver, but make it concrete, in the form of welcoming and humanization.
