RECURSOS NATURAIS NO LITORAL DO PARANÁ: SUBSÍDIOS PARA CONSERVAÇÃO DA FLORESTA ATLÂNTICA
O presente capítulo apresenta
as potencialidades do uso sustentável de
espécies nativas do Litoral do Paraná a partir
do etnoconhecimento. O trabalho foi conduzido
com uma comunidade tradicional da região com
o objetivo de contemplar o recurso genético
disponível na floresta, a diversidade cultural
local e o uso sustentável dos recursos naturais.
O estudo demonstra que o conhecimento das
espécies, em especial a Hedyosmum brasiliense
Mart., tem potencial de agregar valor às
práticas já realizadas nas comunidades.
Constatou-se a importância do saber tradicional
acerca das plantas medicinais pela comunidade
para a descoberta de compostos bioativos. Cabe
salientar que as informações etnobotânicas e
fitoquímicas são oportunas ferramentas para
a preservação das espécies e para estratégias
de Desenvolvimento Territorial Sustentável na
região.

Abstract:
The chapter presents the potential
of the sustainable use of native species of the
Coast of Paraná from the ethno - cognition.
The work was conducted with a traditional
community of the region with the objective of
contemplating the genetic resources available
in the forest, local cultural diversity and the
sustainable use of natural resources. The
study demonstrates that knowledge of species,
especially Hedyosmum brasiliense Mart., has
the potential to add value to the practices already
carried out in the communities. The importance
of traditional knowledge about medicinal plants
by the community for the discovery of bioactive
compounds was verified. It should be noted that
ethnobotanical and phytochemical information
are opportune tools for the preservation of
species and for strategies of Sustainable
Territorial Development in the region.
