Abstract: In recent decades, the teaching of exact sciences has sought to innovate in how knowledge is transferred to students. To this end, alternatives exist that can enhance the methods of transmitting knowledge to new generations. This research, using a STEM education approach, presents the results of implementing 3D-printed resources on the topic of energy conservation within classical mechanics, corresponding to the first semesters of higher education in Physics, Engineering, and even Applied Mathematics. The research was conducted with two groups of students. First, an online diagnostic test (Pre-Test) was administered before a didactic intervention on energy conservation and center of mass. Group A received a theoretical explanation of the operation of devices (Mechanical Paradox), while Group B interacted with 3D-printed models of these devices: Gravity Defying Ramp (Rolls UPHILL!) and Self-Balancing Bird, both related to these topics. Both groups discussed their answers for 5 minutes. Finally, a post-test, identical to the initial one but in printed format, was administered to measure the effects of the intervention. The results show that the students who interacted with the 3D-printed material achieved better quantitative results on the post-test. This indicates improved student performance in real-world applications related to conservation of energy and center of mass.
