Recordação e Esquecimento nas Visões de Christopher Nolan e Michel Gondry
Este texto propõe uma reflexão sobre recordação e esquecimento no cinema do século XXI a partir da análise dos filmes Amnésia (Memento, EUA, 2000) de Christopher Nolan e Brilho Eterno de uma Mente sem Lembranças (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, EUA, 2004) de Michel Gondry. Ambos são obras que tratam de personagens de certa forma desajustados e com dificuldade de se inserirem socialmente. Outro fator de convergência foi a escolha por estratégias narrativas criativas e pouco convencionais, com montagens cronologicamente invertidas, com o propósito de estabelecer um envolvimento com as emoções e angústias dos protagonistas, amplificando o efeito do filme sobre o espectador.

Abstract:
This text proposes a reflection on remembering and forgetfulness in 21st century cinema based on the analysis of the films Memento (USA, 2000) by Christopher Nolan and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (USA, 2004 ) by Michel Gondry. Both are works that deal with characters that are somewhat out of place and with difficulty in inserting themselves socially. Another convergence factor was the choice for creative and unconventional narrative strategies, with chronologically inverted editing, with the purpose of establishing an involvement with the protagonists' emotions and anxieties, amplifying the film's effect on the viewer.
