RECONSTRUÇÃO DO LÁBIO SUPERIOR EM PACIENTE VÍTIMA DE ACIDENTE DE TRABALHO
Os lábios são unidades funcionais que interferem na alimentação, na fala e na interação social. Eles são um ponto de referência fundamental na face. As maiores causas de destruição labial está associado com lesões traumáticas e ressecções tumorais. Por apresentarem características e funções específicas o tratamento para a reconstrução labial se torna desafiador diante das sequelas que podem ser permanentes para o paciente. A proposta deste trabalho é descrever a reconstrução do lábio superior de um paciente, vítima de acidente de trabalho, por meio de rotação de retalhos onde apresentou um resultado estético e funcional satisfatório. Paciente gênero masculino, com 50 anos de idade, estava manuseando um instrumento rotatório utilizando um disco de corte, quando o mesmo se rompeu e atingiu o seu terço médio da face. Ao exame clínico extra bucal, observou-se grande destruição do lábio superior, fratura de maxila e destruição do fundo de vestíbulo com o comprometimento da estética. O tratamento cirúrgico foi realizado por meio de rotações de retalhos, respeitando os acidentes anatômicos e peculiaridades da região. Conclui-se que respeitando todos os requisitos funcionais da cavidade oral, os retalhos locais apresentaram resultado satisfatório, permitindo uma estética e restabelecimento de função favoráveis

Abstract:
Lips are functional units that interfere with food, speech and social interaction. They are a fundamental reference point on the face. The biggest causes of lip destruction is associated with traumatic injuries and tumor resections. As they present specific characteristics and functions, the treatment for lip reconstruction becomes challenging in view of the sequelae that may be permanent for the patient. The purpose of this work is to describe the reconstruction of the upper lip of a patient, victim of an accident at work, by means of flap rotation where it presented a satisfactory aesthetic and functional result. A 50-year-old male patient was handling a rotating instrument using a cutting disc when it broke and reached his middle third of the face. On extra-oral clinical examination, great destruction of the upper lip, fracture of the maxilla and destruction of the vestibule bottom was observed with impairment of aesthetics. Surgical treatment was performed using flap rotation, respecting anatomical accidents and peculiarities of the region. It is concluded that respecting all the functional requirements of the oral cavity, the local flaps presented a satisfactory result, allowing for a favorable aesthetic and restoration of function.
